Happy Passover & Happy Easter Everyone!

I wanted to wish everyone out there a Happy Passover and Happy Easter. I will make this more of a pictorial post since I know you all are probably drinking too much wine or eating too much ham today.

I had the opportunity to run with 100+ runners today for a preview of New Jersey Marathon/Long Branch Half Marathon in Long Branch, NJ. I ran one loop this morning (13.1 miles). At the start, it was 35 degrees with a wind chill factor of in the low 20s. Not one hint of spring in the air at all. I had a cool opportunity to meet BommaMama for the second time. I also met BommaMama's husband. He was pretty cool guy and also met her friend, M, from Boston. She and her friend are doing the NJ Marathon while her husband will do the half. The NJ Marathon/Long Branch Half Marathon will be on May 3rd.

**Kudos to BommaMama and M for doing the 20 today while her husband doing the 10 today.**

Enjoy the pictures!

Nice to run with other bloggers!
If it was any other Sunday, than Easter Sunday, I would have loved to have been there.

I am in for the 1/2,so it would have been nice to get one last preview run in.

Happy Easter to you bro!
I bet the wind off the ocean was a bit on the "nipply" side. I think the entire eastern seaboard had high winds. Always fun running with a group.

Happy holiday to you too, Ted!

THANKS SO MUCH TED!!! It was great to see you. I was hoping we could run together but I am glad you got the most out of it by running your typical race pace!! You blew by us like it was a stroll in the park for you. And thanks for snapping a few pictures. Though I have a feeling my husband is going to be horrified by that first picture of the three of us - he looks a little funny in that one. Ha ha ha! Congrats on a great training run! Hopefully next time we can use those breakfast coupons!

What a great day for a race--and the course is beautiful too!

Hi Ted - thanks for your note, sounds like it was a great run for you, too!

Sorry I'll miss you at Jersey this year, but good luck with Vermont - I've heard great things about it!

SJ Tony said...

yeah that marker for Garfield brings back lots of bad memories, and your comment of Downtown Deadville is correct about Downtown Long Branch, during race day that little stretch is pretty sparce (now the turn off leading to it is super cool with the huge crowds)
I am a huge fan of the State of NJ, the NJM and Art ( the race director) but I really do wish tehy go to another course taht does not involve loops. Either way I will run it next year!
