Library on Wheel

I have decided to do something different and unique. As you know, I have already read the book by Dean Karnazes. I don't like the idea of seeing that book sitting on the shelf collecting dust. I want to put the book into good use. I was thinking of selling it. Nah !!! Put it up on eBay. Nah !!! Put it up during garage sale. Nahhh! I have a brilliant idea. This is like having a Library on Wheel. I have decided to loan the book to the next 5o RBFs (Running Bloggers Friends). Here's how it works.

1. Whoever responded to my post that would like to read the book free of charge, I will mail the book using media rate at the Post Office. Its only a couple bucks. (If you are not comfortable about giving out home address, use business address.)

2. I will ship the book to you.

Here's the rule....

1. You must read the entire book.
2. You must leave a comment anywhere in the book on what you think of the book. Sign your first name or the name of your blog.
3. You must have a picture taken of yourself and book. (Not in the shower, please!) The picture must be forward to me (via email) where I will be posting on my blog.
4. The person who is reading must set up a post and find out who wants to be the next in line to read.
5. Mail the book using Media Rate at the Post office. It is only a couple bucks. Around 8 quarters. It beats $24.99 to read the book.

Repeat the step until the 50th blogger gets to the book. The book then must be returned. What do I get? I get a lot of love from you guys! I will be getting 50 comments about the book (not me) and I will leave it on my bookshelves with 50 pictures of bloggers. How cool is that?

Let the fun begins to the next 50 bloggers who will be having so much fun reading the book.

It's first come, first serve basis whoever responded to my post - first. Good Luck and Happy Reading!

I think it is a great idea. I don't read much but it is time I did.

Just another brilliant Ted innovation.

Awesome idea! I have the book on reserve at the library. I'm No. 1 on the list (as I'm sure I am on many people's lists, good and bad), so as soon as their order comes in, I'll get it.

Update.....

I just ran over to the Post office awhile ago. The book is now on the way to Progman2000 who will be the first to read the book. As soon he is finish with the book, he will deliver the book to #2.

I will be creating a chart to track the book and also create a map to see far the book is traveling in my next post.

Too cool Ted, am I too late to get into this?

Lily on the Road... you are never too late to join. You could be any of the 48 remaining blogger to join this event. Right now, Progman2000 has the book. As soon as he is finished with the book, he will create a post and whoever responded him will get the loaner (book). Or, you can try to convince Progman2000 to ship the book to you.
